French Engineering and Equipment Manufacturers for Recycling

In 2021, the recycling equipment design and manufacturing sector has been strongly influenced by a favourable regulatory context. With the extension of the sorting deposit for plastic packaging and the arrival of new EPRs (Extended Producer Responsibility) (toys, sports, garden, etc.), recycling players have had to adapt their processes.

The recycling sector also continues to accelerate production rates and improve recognition and sorting gestures thanks to the integration of new technologies, in particular robotics and digital tools.

Presentation of the French recycling equipment and engineering companies

The French recycling equipment and engineering companies include all the structures that innovate, design and manufacture shredders, compactors, optical sorting machines, sorting lines, reactors for gasifying waste, equipment for recycling bio-waste or transformer oils, etc. The French Recycling Equipment Manufacturers are a significant link in the re-industrialisation and development of industrial employment in France, particularly in the Hauts-de-France region where we have been established since 2010.

TEAM2's actions for French recycling equipment and engineering companies

Since 2018, we have been supporting the French Recycling Equipment Manufacturers' Club (CEFR). It targets in particular sorting equipment manufacturers, design offices as well as research actors able to support equipment manufacturers in their projects. Through this Club, we participate in the identification of the offer of French equipment manufacturers, their positioning in the value chain, and the technological obstacles and barriers that they encounter. We do this by interacting regularly with local authorities, eco-organisations and waste management operators.

Through our support actions with our members and the many innovative projects approved by the cluster which have enabled us to obtain funding, we are helping to develop the French recycling equipment industry, particularly by strengthening the use of digital technologies.

In 2022, the French Recycling Equipment Manufacturers' Club (CEFR) becomes an association whose mission is to promote its members through 4 objectives:

  1. Develop and promote an industrial sector of the future that meets the challenges of the circular economy,
  2. Make French know-how known and recognized nationally and internationally in terms of research, design, manufacturing and quality of services,
  3. Stimulate and support innovation among recycling equipment manufacturers,
  4. Strengthen collectively through sharing experiences, within working groups, site visits and collective projects.
