CEDACI

he data centre industry has grown rapidly and generates a large volume of e-waste and WEEE. The current infrastructure to deal with this waste is underdeveloped and therefore there is a real and urgent need to address this now. CEDaCI (Circular Economy for the Data Centre Industry) will develop a circular economy for the data centre industry by bringing together stakeholders from all stages of the equipment lifecycle to turn this waste into a useful resource and support the rapid growth of the data centre industry. Recycling, reuse and eco-design of IT servers are at the heart of this European INTERREG project which brings together German, English, Dutch and French partners.

Project budget: 4.3 billions

Project duration: 5 years (2018-2023)
